Our Fundraisers

We host various fundraising activities in order to help both local and global efforts

Each year the Breakfast Club hosts various fundraising activities in order to help local charities and organizations, as well as fund major initiatives across the United States and around the globe.

The CART Fund

The CART (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust) Fund is a 501(c)3 dedicated to raising funds to provide “seed” money for cutting-edge, high-impact research focused on finding a cure/prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.

The goal of the CART Fund is to encourage exploratory and developmental Alzheimer’s disease research projects within the United States. This is accomplished by providing financial support for early and conceptual plans of those projects that may not yet be supported by extensive preliminary data, but have the potential to substantially advance biomedical research.

The Breakfast Club raises money to contribute to The Cart Fund to help fund this research.

Ending Polio

Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. Today, polio remains endemic only in Afghanistan and Pakistan. But it’s crucial to continue working to keep other countries polio-free.

As a Club, we collect donations for 6 months each year and fundraise through our Run for Polio service project and our District’s Run for Bernie challenge.

Rotary Wheels

Each year the Rotary Club of Charleston – Breakfast’s club members host a major fund-raising party to benefit local charities and their efforts.

Some of the beneficiaries in the past include (but are not limited to) the following organizations:

  • Charleston Futures
  • Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina
  • Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy
  • Lowcountry Food Bank
  • Project Belize
  • Water Missions International
