Letter from Paula Matthews
Here are a few items that may be of interest to you.
1. Let’s end this Rotary Year with a bang. Membership growth and 100% EREY club status on June 30, 2012 is the goal. The district has developed a Membership EREY Campaign to assist clubs in accomplishing these two goals.
Here is how it will work. For every new member inducted from April 1 – June 15 the district will contribute $10 to the Foundation in that new member’s name. Also, the club in each size category with the highest net membership gain will receive free registrations for their 2012-2013 President, Membership Chair, and Foundation Chair to the District Seminar to be held on September 13, 2012.
Attached is a flyer that explains the campaign in more detail. Have fun and finish with a bang.
2. Have you seen the district Facebook page “Rotary District 7770-Eastern South Carolina”. News about your club can be posted there for more people to see. Please visit it, like it and share it to your friends. This is a way we can share the good works your club is doing.
3. Are you interested in perhaps working toward becoming District Governor for our District? If so, there will be an informational meeting after the Club Leadership Assembly on Thursday, April 26, 2012 and one on Thursday, September 13, 2012 after theFoundation/Membership Seminar. You can let me know if you plan to attend one of these by responding to this email. l
Yours in Rotary Service,
Paula J. Matthews
Rotary District 7770
Membership and EREY
Fourth Quarter Campaign
April 1 – June 15, 2012
Attention: ALL Club Presidents, Foundation Chairs, and Membership Chairs:
Here is another opportunity to end the Rotary year on a positive note. Our
main objective is for every club to increase membership and we will help each
new member to start his or her Rotary career as an EREY Rotarian.
From April 1 – June 15, for each new member inducted and added to the
district database and Rotary Member Access your club will receive a $10
EREY contribution for this new member from the district.
Additionally, the highest net gain club in each of the three club size categories
(Small 1-40, Medium 41-90, Large 91+) will receive a complementary
registration for their 2012-2013 Club President, Membership Chair, and
Foundation Chair for the District Foundation Membership Seminar to be
held on September 13, 2012. Club net gain will be based on the July 1, 2011
start number. For more information or to find out your club’s official start
number, contactPDG Alan Walters at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Updates will be sent out every two weeks during the campaign, so make
sure your club is at the top of the list.
